The Villa Apartment - A Unique Residence by the Lake Most

Around the water, terraced pebble beaches, floating piers, and access points create a recreational environment suitable for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and casual boating. A multi-use path encircles the lake, linking parkland, playgrounds, and picnic spaces, while adjacent areas are being developed for broader leisure and tourism uses.

Situated directly below the historic Hněvín hill and near the relocated church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Lake Most become not only a revitalized water landscape but also a cultural and environmental anchor in the region.

A Dynamic Cultural and Sports Hub

The apartment is located near Lake Most, at the heart of the region's sports and cultural activities, while remaining shielded by Hněvín Hill, ensuring a peaceful living environment. The area hosts a wide range of sporting clubs and events, including a yacht club, rowing club, and dragon boat races, as well as national competitions such as Czech Republic Triathlon Championships.

Lake Most – A Post-Mining Jewel

Lake Most is one of the most remarkable water bodies in the Czech Republic, created through the hydric reclamation of the former lignite mine. Its transformation from industrial site to lake represents a powerful example of landscape regeneration — water now fills what was once the heart of the old city of Most.

The lake covers an area of approximately 3.1 km² and reaches a maximum depth of 75 meters, creating a distinctive and substantial water body in the region. Its clear waters and scenic surroundings make it attractive for diving, swimming, and other water sports, while carefully planned access points and paths (~ 9 km) around the shore provide opportunities for walking, cycling, and recreation.

Easy-Accessible Lakeside

The lakeshore is just a 5-minute drive or approximately  30-minute walk from the apartment. In 2025, preparations began for a pedestrian footbridge from Hněvín Hill, which will shorten the walking route to only 15 minutes, further enhancing the convenience and accessibility of this unique lakeside location.

Cultural life thrives alongside sport, with major festivals and events attracting regional and international visitors. Notable highlights include the Olympic Festival, and in 2025 and 2026, the Let It Roll Festival — one of Europe's largest music events.

The apartment's strategic location combines proximity to all action and entertainment with the tranquillity of a hillside-protected zone, offering residents the unique advantage of enjoying the region's vibrant activity without compromising peace and privacy.

Former mining areas are becoming wild nature, bird sanctuaries, and calm waters, often just minutes from cities. This rare proximity of untouched nature and urban life creates a region with a strong new identity.

The Ústí Region is no longer shaped by extraction, but by renewal, water, and long-term vision.

The Ústí Region – The Land of Lakes and New Landscapes

Where open-cast coal mining once left bare ground, new lakes now define the landscape. The Ústí Region is transforming into a place of water, greenery, and open space —a landscape of the future.
